  • Self-piercing screws feature a lead-thread that is rolled to the very tip of the screw<br /> point and then rapidly develops into a logarithmic helix for easily penetrating sheet metal.
  • Perfectly molded threads reduce driving torque and strip-out problems, while contrastingly increasing the speed of installation.
  • Used to "tap" their own mating internal thread when driven into wood and metallic materials.
  • Does not require a pre-drilled pilot hole in sheet metal under .
  • 040" thick.
  • Extra sharp point to ease starting.
  • Case hardened so surface after tempering is equal to minimum RockWell Hardness of C28-38.
  • Zinc Plated to meet ASTM Specification F1941.
  • Screws conform to the dimensions of ASME B18.6.3
